UPSC 2019 – AIR 606

Strategy:( Only for reference as you are the best judge of yourself so please customize as per your need)

(1) ANCIENT INDIA: old ncert and 2 or 3 sectional mock papers of any good classes with explanation.
if possible try to converge areas like ART AND CULTURE ( book of Nitin Singhania and again 2 or 3 well explained mock papers of a&c.
(2)MEDIAEVAL INDIA: Tamilnadu state book will be a good source.. Focus on art and culture part of this period.
Do not give excessive time over these portions as Return on Investment is low.
(3)MODERN INDIA: A brief history of modern india by specturm will serve the purpose for prelims as well as for mains examination.
Try some mock papers as it will make ur mind more alert towards silly mistakes and gives you more diverse views and questions

GEOGRAPHY: Ncerts of 11th and 12th standard will almost cover all aspects. For additional reading ppt of rajtanil madam on mrunal.org will be enough. Give atleast 2 mock papers of physical geography.

ECONOMY: Ramesh singh’s INDIAN EXONOMY latest edition will clear almost all basic concepts of economy. If book reading is difficult then 1st go for mrunal sir’s lecture, it will make economy easy to understand.
Again minimum 2 well explained mock papers will give a major boost.
ENVIRONMENT AND ECOLOGY: shankar ias booklet is a must read for beginners. Surf websites of international organisations and Ministry of environment and climate change for latest initiatives. Not to forget about 2 mock papers with detailed explanation.

Science : if time permits ncerts will be good.

Science and Tech: S&T section of curremt affairs.

FOR PRELIMS:

Almost all questions will be asked from latest current developemnts so read current affairs regularly. PT 365 of Vision Ias and complilation of insights are good sources.
Try to diversify sources so you can get new information.

Give mock papers as i found it most effective. Make notes of one liners when you solve papers as handy notebooks will help to revise..

This consists of 50% of preparation.
Other important things are:
Eat healthy and stay fit. (MUST)

Never Postpone Joy. Celebrate every occassion and manage it with your study.

Do Not Panic in examination hall.
